Summary of the most interesting projects in 2017

Welcome on our website after a long absence.

Despite the fact that no current information was provided regarding works we performed, 2017 was full of Polish and foreign projects. Below we will present the most interesting works, during which the specialists of WWTECH have repeatedly, reliably and succesfully faced time pressure and new solutions.

KOZIENICE
MODERNIZATION OF TURBINE SETS OF TWO BLOCKS

At the request of the main contractor in Kozienice, WWTECH started works in the second largest conventional power plant in Poland. The machining service concerned modernization of turbine sets of two blocks of the mentioned power plant.

The works consisted of:
1. Machining of glands and IP valve chamber grooves with restoration of geometry
2. Machining of bearing pedestals with the restoration of geometry
3. Machining of all control valves, emergency-stop valves, both surfaces for diffusers nest, sealing and centering valves along with restoration of geometry.
4. Making new holes in the casings for thermocouples and probes
5. Machining of all flanges on the cross-over pipes and casings.
6. Facing of all internal threads up to M90
7. Cut off and chamfering of all inlet and outlet pipelines
8. Milling of suspensions in turbine casings.

KATOWICE
MACHINING THE COUPLING HOLES

This time, the specialists of the WWTECH had the opportunity to work in one of the oldest coal mines in Poland, machining the coupling holes, through their spreading and honing.

This project was complicated because the machining has taken place on the main critical path. For the needs of the above task our constructors have created a machine that enabled efficient execution of planned works. Working time has been shortened from 48 to 24 hours, which restored normal work of the mine.

CZECH REPUBLIC
FACING OF SADDLE SURFACES

We can boast of another success – a large project carried out by WWTECH engineers for the world’s leading company from the HydroPower industry.

Our work consisted of machining of main saddle surfaces responsible for the correct turbine geometry. Implementation of this project was possible due to our experience, equipment and 3D measurements that showed orderer final results. WWTECH made a complicated machining of four flanges (ф4100mm) of the suction apparatus and two suction tubes on two turbines.

Although flange the machining was demanding, the project was completed successfully in 5 working days.

CROATIA
ONE OF THE BIGGEST SHIPYARD IN EUROPE TRUSTED US IN PROVIDING ON-SITE MACHNING SERVICES AND WE DID NOT DISSAPOINT IT.

The subjects of this project were two newly built units.

  • One of it was a dredger, a ship designed to deepen and deslate

the bottom of the sea. Work of the spacialists from WWTECH consisted of machining all key points on unit responsible

for the correct operation of technical devices. We also conducted measurements using Lasertrackers in 3D technology.

  • Second unit was a floating crane which was designed to set wind farms beyond the horizon line.

The work involved machining of columns’ vertical slides and machining of settling surfaces for azimutal propellers.

Our crew once again performed their job perfectly.

SERBIA
MACHINING OF THE SURFACE DESIGNATED FOR RESTORING SHAPE GEOMETRY OF THE CUTTING BLADE

Once again WWTECH succesfully provided on site machning this time in ironwork in Serbia. The task was surface machining which are responsible for metal cutting blades geometry reconstruction.

It was a long project, the implementation of which lasted 10 days. However, this is not a reason for sadness, on the contrary, because the comprehensive machining has been successful. Due to the very tight time schedule, the engineers of WWTECH worked on three shifts. For the purpose of shortening the machining time, a special support construction for machines was prepared, which simultaneously strenghtened the whole structure of the blades.

These works were carried out under the constant supervision of Faro Laser Tracker.

MACEDONIA
MACHINING OF THE ROLL STAND

Another large and long project performed by reliable engineers from WWTECH.

The main problem was restoration of the correct greometry of the roll stand, which did not have the required perpendicularity, parallelism and flatness. Our work consisted of restoring these parameters which rusulted in obtaining the final product according to measuring standards.

The project was carried out within 14 days. We’ve worked hard on two 10 hours shifts, but we can add another success to our company’s account.

MACEDONIA
FLANGE MACHINING

After the previous success of machining roll stand at the request of the Macedonian company, we executed the flange machining Ø 2826 mm.

Time schedule of the project assumed completion of the task within 8 days, but thanks to the experience of WWTECH specialist, we made it in 4 days and obtained the flatness of the collar in the value of 0.2 mm.

TURKEY
SURFACE MACHINING OF THE SLIDE ON THE TURBINE SHAFT IN HYDROPOWER PLANT

This project required from our constructors precise preparation – execution of the surface machining for the slide bearing on the turbine shaft at the Hydro Power Plant on the Tiger River. It required creating a machine that could withstand this project. Shape error which was obtained 0,02mm on the diameter of 1150mm, machining length 815mm, setting on the axis of the shaft 0.01mm. The obtained roughness 0.3Ra.

The whole machine was made in the WWTECH workshop under the constant control of technologists. Preparations with tests for such a complex project took three months, while the achieved effect was excellent. Once again, our company has proved that only having its own design office with technologists and a workshop equipped with the latest CNC machines are a guarantee of the execution of complicated works.

Regarding the implementation of the “WWTech” project, the Eurasian leader in mobile machining, WWTech participated in several events in Kazakhstan:

6 – 7 SEPTEMBER 2017 POLISH-KAZAKH ECONOMIC FORUM ASTANA

On On 6 September 2017, our company participated in the conferences and B2B, during which we gained knowledge about the market in Kazakhstan and potential actions aimed at cooperation with contractors. The most important event of the day was the meeting of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, regarding the signing of cooperation agreements.

September 7, 2017 was the Polish Day at EXPO 2017 – the main event was the presentation by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and a visit to the EXPO ASTANA 2017, where we visited exhibitors’ pavilions, including from Poland. The Polish stand won the gold medal for the best interior design.

21-23 SEPTEMBER 2017 Mining World Almaty Central Asia

For the WWTech company, exhibiting at its own stand, the fair was an opportunity to meet foreign companies, specialized services of the WWTech company were very popular among potential contractors from Kazakhstan and beyond.

24 – 26 OCTOBER 2017 POWER KAZACHSTAN ALMATY
