In September, the WWTECH Engineers faced a demanding project on the implementation of on-site mobile machining and delivery of components that were previously dismantled and sent to us. The elements we had to process had to be processed on our tool shop. After this process was completed, they were subjected to NDT tests. After arriving at the workplace, the gentlemen began on-site mobile processing (cleaning diffusers, polishing diffusers with unloading sleeves). Next, the spindles were mounted and the sleeve – diffuser – was manually lapped. The given task was subjected to final tests, the result of which was positively assessed by the Employer.
With great pleasure and pride, we would like to inform all supporters and Customers that our company has just received a certificate of compliance of the Quality Management System with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The certification process was carried out by the renowned company DNV GL – a Norwegian classification society with headquarters in Oslo, founded in 1864. From January 2017, Det Norske Veritas Poland Sp. z o.o. changed its name to DNV GL Poland Sp. z o.o. as a result of the merger with Germanischer Lloyd – no less a reputable German classification society with traditions dating back to 1876. We hope that the effort put into creating and […]

In September, our specialists completed a very special project in the middle of the Baltic Sea on OSS WIKINGER wind farm in Germany. The task that was oreded by Norwegian company was to perform machining of the pedestal collar, and we had been given only 24h for its implementation. WWTECH obtained special permits and pass the necessary trainings to work on the platform. A machine dedicated to this work was assembled and prepared in port in Gdynia. The equipement with our team was later taken by a specialmarine unit, Jack-Up type (self-elevating vessel). After reaching the work site, the WWTECH team regenerated damaged surface of the radial foundation with a […]
WWTECH is pleased to announce that in the end of July our company became the official sponsor of one of the most successful handball teams – the VIVE Kielce Sports Club. The VIVE Kielce Sports Club in 2017 won the Polish Championship and the Polish Cup. In 2016 Team won the prestigious Champions League. We support the best!!!
In August, WWTECH engineers completed renovation works in Poland companies regarding steel industry. Scope of works covered : • milling of electrodes’ copper junction surfaces • milling of beams leading pillars’ surfaces • the deepening of cooling passages’ slots These works required a great deal of precision, in particular aspects related to roughness and flatness of machined surfaces. Due to the material of which the arms were made, the use of the original, clamping assembly machines on the workpiece was required. In order to meet the customer’s requirements, it was necessary to use advanced measuring instruments, e.g.: laser tracker and measuring arm. During the course of the project, significant damage […]
At the beginning of July we made a significant modification of the cross-over pipe (pipe connecting medium and low pressure turbine parts) of the 16K260 condensing turbine in one of the largest power plants in Poland. The purpose of the modernization was to install additional, regulated steam collector for heating purposes. Additional elements for installation include a T-connector and butterfly valve with actuator. This conversion, together with the additional fittings, will allow the future use of heat for heating purposes from the condensation block. Implementation of modernization had to ensure, a.o. maintaining the mutual position of the flanges (parallelity and distance of surfaces, angle of rotation) on the SP and […]
We are pleased to announce that at the beginning of August the Master Services Agreement between WWTECH and General Electric Global Services GmbH, a corporation operating under the GE Power brand, was signed and entered into force. The contract aims to simplify the procedures for offering and ordering our services to projects implemented by GE worldwide. GE Power is a world leader in energy infrastructure construction, devices for generating electricity including steam turbines, gas turbines, boilers and generators as well as renewable sources – including hydroelectric plants and wind farms. In Poland, the GE Power group includes plants in Elbląg and Wroclaw. More information at ge.com/pl.
At the beginning of August, two WWTECH engineers started works to create a new slot in the break shaft of the gantry crane’s drum. Originally, the existing groove was to be enlarged, however, it was used and a decision was made to execute a new one – nominal one. The machine used for this task – KM300, tool – three-plate finger cutter. Although the working conditions were hard (high temperature, dust, noise, height 30m) everything was done within 5 hours and the achieved tolerance was 0.03 mm.
POMP TO INJECT OIL TO UNDERGROUND TANKS This time, the engineers of the WWTECH Company undertook to carry out a project lasting four days in the most dangerous conditions that have hitherto met them. The ordering party clearly defined the scope of our machining, namely: Boring of the stuck M250 nut Opening hole ф120 on ф240, to insert a pipe with diameter ф230 Due to safety requirements resulting from the plant specification, it was not possible to use a standard electrical drive for machine tools. To meet this task, we had to adapt our machine to the hydraulic drive. The effect of our work was to finish the project while […]
